Qualification (or anequivalent grade inapointscalewherever gradingsystemisfollowed) attheMaster's Degree level in the relevant subject froman Indian University, or an equivalent degree froman accredited foreignUniversity. Relaxation of5% shallbe provided at the Master's levelforthe cheduledCaste/ScheduledTribe/Differently-abled (PhysicallyandVisually differently-abled) categoriesfor the purpose of eligibilityand for assessing good academic record. Besidesfulfilling the above qualifications, a candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGClike SLET/SET. Notwithstanding anything contained in (i) and (ii), candidates who are, or have been awarded aPh.Ddegree in accordancewiththe UniversityGrantsCommission (minimum standards and procedure for award ofPh.D degree)Regulations, 2009,shallbe exemptedfromthe requirement oftheminimumeligibilityconditionofNET/SLET/SET. A Relaxation of 5% maybe provided from55% to 50% ofthe marksto the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September,1991considered. d) Working knowledge of Mizo language of at least Middle standard.
